Tottenham boss Martin Jol remains to be convinced by winger Aaron Lennon, it has been revealed.

Jol's rowing with football director Damien Comolli over transfer policy, says the Observer, includes differences of opinion on Lennon and Jermain Defoe.

Lennon, for instance, while dazzling in bursts, does not fit the Jol profile of a hard-working professional; nor does Jermain Defoe, whose scoring record away from home (three last season) is not impressive.
