Tottenham boss Martin Jol is ready to play his pricey kids to spark their Premiership season.
But as they kick off their White Hart Lane campaign against Everton, Jol is sure his side will not repeat their run of one win in six at the start of the last campaign.
Jol said: "I feel we have invested wisely in good young players for the future. Gareth Bale is very young and Younes Kaboul is playing like a 25-year-old but he is only 21."
He added: "We had a bad start last season and we lost to Bolton on the opening day but we picked ourselves up and that is what we have got to do again now.
"We have got to do better in midfield, up front and from the flanks as well.
"If you get a good start you have a very good foundation and you can build on that. Last year we had six new players in the line-up and it was different and we needed some time."
