Spurs boss Jol: Fans, rival coaches support me

Martin Jol insists he won't be pressured into resigning from Tottenham and revealed he could have quit for a Champions League club this year.

He revealed: "I could have walked out to join a Champions League club but I stayed here because I am committed to Spurs.

"I believe in these boys and as long as they believe in me, there is no issue. I had 5,000 e-mails from fans and managers have phoned me with messages of support.

"The chairman made three statements to say he backs me. It will be a hell of a job to get into the top four but it's good to have high expectations."
