Spurs boss Jol confident keeping strikers happy

Tottenham boss Martin Jol accepts it will be a big task keeping his four senior strikers happy this season.

Yet the Dutchman remains philosophical in his approach, paying tribute to the professional of Robbie Keane last season.

Jol said: "Robbie has been the most influential player in the last couple of seasons. He has always been there when I have needed him and is an influential figure in the dressing room.

"But any of the strikers have to work hard to get into the team. We may have spent £16.5 million on Darren but Jermain Defoe is worth around that and Dimitar Berbatov as well, probably more.

"But it is about the players as well, not just me.

"They know they have to compete for places and anyone who wants to come here has to do that against Robbie Keane, Berbatov, and Defoe.

"If they are still brave enough to come here then they are good players."
