Spurs boss Jol confident handling Boateng

Tottenham boss Martin Jol is confident of taming wild child Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Jol insists the German midfielder, 20, could become a major star in the Premier League.

Boateng calls himself the 'Ghetto Boy' after his tough upbringing in Wedding, a poor district in Berlin.

The £5million signing from Hertha Berlin has 13 tattoos on his arms.

Jol said: "He is a Spurs player now and he will play in our style, in our character.

"If he does that, we've signed the best talent in Germany.

"I know everything about Boateng. People exaggerate problems with some players, but I am convinced he'll be good for us."
