Spurs boss AVB asks chairman Levy about stopping Fulham striker Berbatov

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas admits he's been devising a plan this week to stop Fulham ace Dimitar Berbatov.

AVB revealed he spoke with chairman Daniel Levy about bringing Berbatov back to White Hart Lane in the summer.

He said: "We only spoke briefly about it. We decided we were happy with the strikers we had.

"But it is good to see Berbatov playing regularly at this level. We are reminded again of his extreme qualities.

"Having seen him in a difficult position recently at Manchester United, we tend to forget what he had done before.

"But as he showed at Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen, he is just an amazing all-round striker.

"You want a player of this quality in your team. But I am happy with the strikers I have."
