Tottenham's board are willing to talk with Jermain Defoe about a new contract - despite his row with coach Juande Ramos.

The News of the World says the meeting, where Defoe was told 'You can go' came about because Ramos was annoyed with Defoe for some high jinks in training and decided he needed to lay down the law in private.
