Tottenham are planning a bid for Fiorentina midfielder Mariano Santana.

The Sunday Mirror says Spurs coach Juande Ramos is believed to be a big admirer of the Argentine midfielder, who has impressed for both club and country this season.

But he will face competition from Bolton and Manchester City, who have also registered their interest.
