Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a new deal with star striker Harry Kane.
Kane signed a contract that runs until 2022 on Thursday.
The Sun is reporting that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy performed an 'embarrassing U-turn' in order to sort the lucrative contract for Kane.
It had previously been reported that Levy would under no condition offer any of his players more than £100,000 per week, which forced negotiations with Kane and his representatives to stall last month.
But fresh reports indicate that after backlash from fans, Levy increased his offer to Kane, which now stands at a weekly wage in excess of £100,000 plus bonuses.
The 23-year-old England international, who was on £60,000 a week, is contracted with the North London club for the next six years after landing a substantial pay rise which has occurred thanks to Levy's about-face.
