Spurs attacker Sissoko: Matuidi and I supported eachother during transfer window

Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko says Blaise Matuidi was desperate to leave PSG during the Euros.

The midfielder was linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus over the summer.

Sissoko recalled to Bein Sport: "At Clairefontaine, I was often with him in the room. I could see he wanted to leave and wanted to surely find another challenge.

"There was Juventus who were interested in him. It was something exciting for him. Unfortunately, PSG was against his departure. I can understand that.

"Blaise is a tremendous player who has contributed much to PSG and the France team. I know what it's like when you want to leave a club because I was also in this situation, I wanted to leave.

"It was not yet done, but what he was feeling, I felt the same. We supported each other."
