Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Erik Lamela has had to travel back to his homeland of Argentina.

The Tottenham Hotspur attacker will miss Wednesday night's Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow at Wembley after tending to a family problem involving his brother.

"It is important to send our support," said Pochettino.

"He has a problem with his family in Argentina and travelled there last night.

"We want to send our big support to him and his family. It is a problem with his brother.

"We hope it is not too serious but it's an issue that meant he needed to go to Argentina."
