Orlando City have added yet another company to their sponsorship portfolio as they prepare to debut in Major League Soccer (MLS) next month, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Sports retailer Academy Sports + Outdoors has signed a multi-year deal and will support Orlando's youth development programme and various soccer camps and clinics.
The company, which operates 190 stores across the US, also gains the opportunity to interact with fans at the team's home games, starting with their season opener against fellow MLS expansion side New York City FC on 8th March.
"Timing is everything and for Academy Sports + Outdoors and our fans, the timing of this partnership just days before our inaugural MLS game on March 8th is ideal," said Orlando City president and founder Phil Rawlins.
"We welcome them to our family of partners and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
