Sporting Lisbon starlet Silva has Chelsea regrets

Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder Adrien Silva has no regrets about a move to Chelsea collapsing three years ago.

Silva, now 18, was set to join Jose Mourinho at Chelsea in 2004, before Sporting took the case to FIFA and the switch collapsed.

"At this moment, everything is settled between Sporting and I," said the Portugal U18 international when reflecting on the Chelsea controversy . "By the way, it is a question that I don't like talking about, because it hurt my relationship with Sporting and Chelsea.

"Happily, today everything is good between Sporting and myself."

Silva is now contracted to Sporting until 2012 and should he become available, Manchester United will have the inside-running on Chelsea thanks to their close relationship with the Portuguese giants.
