Norwich City are desperate to get rid of flop striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel this summer and it seemed like the Canaries would be able to offload the Dutchman after recently agreeing a £4million deal with Sporting Lisbon.

However, the transfer now looks unlikely after van Wolfswinkel rejected the offer from Lisbon.

His wage demands of around £1.8million annually has not been met by the Portuguese giants.
