On-loan Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic is desperate for a chance to prove his worth at Wigan Athletic.

The 6ft 5in Serb is hoping to get another chance against Arsenal today as he tries to persuade Wigan manager Roberto Martinez to extend his contract beyond the summer.

Stojkovic said: "I always dreamed of playing in England and I like it here. But I don't feel I have shown my best form so far so I don't know what the club will do."
