Sporting Lisbon insist no offers have arrived from England for midfielder Miguel Veloso.

"We have never received a formal offer for Miguel Veloso from England," Sporting chief Paulo Barboso told O Jogo.

"What the newspapers say is one thing, but there were no documents submitted."

Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with Veloso.
