Sporting Lisbon defender Eric Dier admits he's happy to be on England's radar.

Dier revealed England U21 coach Gareth Southgate has assured him he won't be ignored playing in Portugal.

"Gareth's really good with that," revealed the 19-year-old.

"He spoke to me last time I was here because he'd seen some of my games on tape, so I appreciate that.

"He keeps an eye on me, because I'm obviously in a different country, so that's good for me."
