Fiorentina are closing in on Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso.
The Viola have watched the Portugal international in action for the past three Sporting games and are preparing a January bid for the versatile midfielder.
Veloso's contract carries a £22 million buyout clause and Sporting coach Paulo Bento is reluctant to part with his star man in midseason.
