Sporting Kansas City's Nielsen frustrated with defence

Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen admits the leaky defence is already frustrating him. Sporting have conceded eight goals in three games so far this season causing the Danish gloveman to go off at his teammates during the 3-3 draw with Vancouver Whitecaps last weekend.

The Whitecaps scored twice in injury time to grab a share of the points and Nielsen admitted all of his frustrations came pouring out.

"I was extremely disappointed and extremely frustrated," Nielsen said. "We gave away three goals so easily and so quickly. It was just that all my frustration came out there."

Sporting coach Peter Vermes said it was ok that Nielsen showed that anger as it indicates that he is taking pride in what he is doing.

"He was showing that he cares," Vermes said.

"That's important on the field. I don't have any problem with it. That was the first time since he's been here that he has really let it go."

SKC had the week of during Week 4 but will be back in action against Columbus Crew this weekend and the hope is that the flow of goals past their keeper will come to a halt.
