Sporting Kansas City midfielder Roger Espinoza has confirmed that Premier League club Wigan Athletic are interested in his services.
Rumours have been circulating regarding the 26-year old Honduran and a potential January move to the DW Stadium and although he admits there is interest, he has cooled talk of an imminent departure from Kansas City.
"They have talked to my agent. Is there an offer out there? Not necessarily," Espinoza told MLSsoccer.com after SKC were knocked out of the MLS playoffs by Houston Dynamo on Wednesday.
"Kansas City has made one (an offer to me). But other than that, I've still got to see my options - not only Wigan but what else is out there too.
"I'll take some time, because I want to make the right decision.
"I don't want to make a decision that one day is going to come back and haunt me. I want to think of what's best for me, what's best for my family, where I can succeed."
He added: "I've been here five years and done very well, I think.
"Every year, I keep getting better here. The owners, there's no question about how amazing they've been from the beginning. The players there's a lot of future in this team, and I've got to think a lot about that."
