Sporting Kansas City in no hurry to sell Juventus target Palmer-Brown

Sporting Kansas City head coach Peter Vermes suggests the club are in no mood to let young gun Erik Palmer-Brown leave anytime soon.

The 16-year old defender is a reported target for Italian giants Juventus with SKC chief Robb Heineman recently revealing that the Turin outfit had watched him at the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic preseason tournament in Orlando, Florida.

Palmer-Brown is a local product who is destined for a bright future but Vermes insists that SKC will not be selling him to Juventus are any other club.

"It's just not something that we're willing to entertain," Vermes told the Kansas City Star.

"I've said this before and I'll say it again - we haven't had the intention to sell the player. It would take quite a bit for us to sell him at the moment."

Of Palmer-Brown, who has been with Sporting's academy since 2009, Vermes added: "We see the potential he has with our club.

"He's been developed by us. In doing that, he has incredible potential and we see that. So at the moment, we've declined all offers."
