Tottenham winger Giovani dos Santos has been a target for Sporting Kansas City according to head coach Peter Vermes.
The 23-year old Mexico international has been linked with a Spurs departure for some time now with Vermes confirming that SKC have been in pursuit of his services in the past.
"But there's always been little problems here or there. The contract regarding Tottenham - how much would they want if we were to transfer. It was for a transfer. It was just one piece but he had another deal in Spain but all of those were circumvented through the Tottenham side of it because they were still trying to get investment back so it kind of fell away a couple of times.""I don't know if I'm going out on a limb in saying this but we've tried a couple of times to go after Giovani dos Santos," he told the Sporting KC television network.
