Sporting Gijon remain keen on Real Madrid goalkeeper Jordi Codina.
While Real coach Juande Ramos is refusing to allow Codina to leave this month, Sporting are keen to discuss an end-of-season deal for the young shot-stopper.
In the meantime, Sporting will continue to seek a stop-gap No1 after losing Ivan Cuellar to injury.
