Sporting Gijon are interested in Real Madrid goalkeeper Jordi Codina.
Sporting are seeking a new No1 after being trumped by Real Mallorca for former Deportivo La Coruna keeper Dudu Aouate.
Codina saw a move to Benfica blocked by Real in August, but new coach Juande Ramos may be prepared to release him for a six-month spell at Primera rivals Sporting.
