Sporting Gijon striker Nacho Novo is hoping Rangers can offer him an out from his nightmare return to Spain.
The 31-year old is reportedly hating his time with Gijon, which has seen him score just one goal in 15 league appearances, and it is believed that he wants to come back to Ibrox where he enjoyed six years playing with 'Gers.
Gijon boss Manuel Preciado said Novo is so determined to get out of Spain that he is going batty and wants him to relax before it sends him to a mental hospital.
"Nacho has to learn to relax or he will end up in a psychiatric hospital," he said.
"He has to stop thinking over and over about his situation. If he doesn't do that he will go crazy."
Reports have suggested that Rangers were again keen on Novo but Gijon sporting director Emilio De Dios confirmed there had been no contact as of yet.
"At the present moment Rangers haven't made an official approach about Nacho Novo," he said.
