Sporting Gijon midfielder Michel is interesting Birmingham City.

The Daily Mail says Birmingham City want Sporting Gijon midfielder Miguel Marcos Madera - better known as Michel - according to reports in Spain.

Scouts are said to have watched the 23-year-old this week. Bolton have already had a bid rejected, but offers around £4.3m would be too good for the Spanish club to turn down.

Blues boss Alex McLeish can take a closer look when Gijon come to St Andrew's for a pre-season friendly on Saturday week.
