Sporting Gijon know they need a result against Espanyol today.

Sporting have lost their last three matches, but coach Manolo Preciado - in his fifth season at the Asturian club - is not thought to be under pressure.

And midfielder Miguel de las Cuevas believes the club's fortunes are about to change.

"At the moment things aren't going well," he said.

"But we have always responded when we have been in this situation before and we will again."
