Midfielder Carmelo is back for Sporting Gijon.

The right-sided winger has been missing due to injury since May, but was back in training this week.

"I have been training well this week, no hassles. It would be great for me to play my first match this season against Real Mallorca," said Carmelo, who has seen Miguel de las Cuevas shine in his absence.

"I don't think I have an advantage on De las Cuevas. It's a squad game and it will be up to the coach to decide who plays," added Carmelo.
