Sporting Gijon are in talks with Barcelona for Douglas.
Sport says Barca chief Robert Fernandez is in Gijon to speak to Sporting Gijon representatives about the chance of Douglas joining them on loan until the end of the season.
The Asturian side are interested in reinforcing their defensive line and the Brazilian right-back is an option.
After signing Chilean defender Igor Lichnovsky, Abelardo is now thinking about Douglas.
