Sporting CP midfielder Alberto Aquilani admits regrets over his time at Liverpool.

Aquilani flopped spectacularly at Anfield and says nothing really worked for him in England.

"If there is regret for not being decisive with Liverpool? Definitely yes," he told Sky Italia.

"It was a complicated year, with many injuries. Then Rafa Benitez and Eduardo Macia, they took me to the Reds, were sacked and for me it was all more difficult.

"In England, they have no problem to change in seasons 5-6 players. There is disappointment with how it went, but that's okay, I found a great culture and a nice city (Lisbon) to live in."
