Sporting CP are seeking to re-sign Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.

A Bola says Slimani is wanted on a season-long loan by former club Sporting CP.

The Algerian frontman was shipped out to Newcastle on loan in January but played just 130 minutes.

He was then slapped with a three-game suspension which ended his season after a clash with West Brom's Craig Dawson.

Slimani scored 28 goals for Sporting in the 2015/16 season before joining the Foxes as they prepared for their first Champions League campaign.
