Sporting Lisbon boss Paulo Bento concedes they face a battle to keep striker Liedson away from Premiership clubs.
Newcastle, Tottenham and Spartak Moscow are all chasing the Brazilian and Bento said: "I don't believe I'll lose him. The fact there is interest doesn't mean anything. If we lost every player there was interest in Sporting wouldn't have enough players to make a squad."
The player himself is more than happy to stay put.
"What I can guarantee is that while I'm here I will always give my maximum. Nothing has been said to me," he said. "My agent is here this week and we're going to talk about some matters. But I'm calm and I feel good at Sporting."
