The Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches at Dundee United and Motherwell have been postponed because of bad weather. Dundee United's SPL game against Rangers was the first to go this morning and has been called off due to severe weather conditions.
According to Rangers, "snow overnight made the pitch at Tannadice unplayable and driving conditions treacherous''.
With injury to several key players and following a tough midweek defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League, Rangers may welcome the free weekend.
Sunday's SPL clash between Motherwell and Hearts has also been postponed.
A club official said the match had been called off because of safety fears over the approach roads around Fir Park.
