Speroni insists no reason for Palace panic: Look at last season

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni insists there's no panic over the inconsistent form.

Palace have now won only one of their last 10 games, but veteran goalkeeper Speroni is not panicking yet.

"If you think about last season, the first 10 games I think we only had three points," he said. "It is not a concern. We have been playing really, really well but for some reason we have not been getting the results we have been expecting.

"It was disappointing to concede so early after scoring the goal. That certainly wasn't the plan. But you have to give them credit - they had the players to do it. We are disappointed, but our performance overall was good.

"We are more confident even than last year. This league is so, so tight and you have to work really, really hard for every point. It is going to be the same as last season. It will be decided in the last few games."
