Julian Speroni is in talks with Crystal Palace over a new deal.

The goalkeeper, who turns 37 in May, wants to remain with the Eagles.

"I have had a conversation with Steve Parish and he says Palace want me to stay," said Speroni to the Croydon Advertiser.

"He has said the manager wants me to stay, as have the coaches. And I want to stay.

"So it's a great starting point in our conversations. We haven't spoken about the length of a new deal or money, we just had a really nice conversation about how things are going on and plans for the future.

"We both agreed that we love Palace, we want to see it grow and we want to be part of it.

"Let's wait and see what happens. I am sure in the short-term we will have another conversation where we will talk about the contract."
