The goalkeeper is out of contract in the summer.
Speroni told Sky Sports: "It was an emotional night. I thought this could be my last night and, hopefully not, but if it was my last game for the club I wanted to say thank you and goodbye.
"I know the club want me to stay and I want to stay which is great but we haven't spoken yet and we need to sit down.
"It's normal that clubs are going to sniff around. I was always very clear what I wanted to do - that I wanted to stay at this football club - and that hasn't changed."
