Portland Timbers coach John Spencer has no problem with new signing Jose Adolfo Valencia eyeing a future move away.

The thought of the Timbers being used as a possible stepping stone doesn't bother Wilkinson or Spencer.

"He's a young ambitious player and sees himself succeeding (in MLS) and then moving on to Europe," Spencer told oregonlive.com. "If a player has those sort of ambitions, it's a good thing for us."
