Gary Speed is fighting for his future at Bolton Wanderers.

The Mirror says Speed's Bolton future has been plunged into doubt after boss Sammy Lee axed him from his first-team squad.

The veteran Welshman, also the Wanderers player-coach, is in talks about a new contract with his current deal running out in the summer. Speed's priority is to carry on playing.
