Nathan Ake's temporary spell at Watford is gone only from good to better.
The 20-year-old Dutch defender has started eight of the past nine Premier League matches for the Hornets during his loan stint from Chelsea.
During that time, Watford have won five matches and kept four clean sheets, all of which Ake has been heavily involved in.
On the weekend, the former Reading loanee was one of Quique Sanchez Flores' best players in the 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
His delivery for Almen Abdi in the ninth minute was unlucky not to have produced a second goal for the Hornets following Odion Ighalo's fourth-minute opener.
Ake was named in various media outlets' Team of the Week line-ups for his showing against the Black Cats and his assured display in the north east will only further cementing his place in the Watford XI.
The Holland U21 international has settled nicely at Vicarage Road and is quickly becoming one off the Hertfordshire club's key players as their winning run extended to three matches.
For all of Chelsea's woes, Ake and Watford find themselves sitting in the lofty heights of seventh position where they are just four points in arrears of fourth-placed Manchester City.
The talented youngster has endeared himself to the Watford squad and as evidenced by his following post on Twitter, is becoming a respected member of the Hornets setup.
