Spartak Moscow have warned Aston Villa off star winger Aiden McGeady.

It has been reported the former Celtic star, who joined the Russian outfit in August for £12 million, is unsettled but sporting director Dmitri Popov insists the 24-year-old is going nowhere.

"McGeady is certainly not for sale," he said.

"It is not true he is unsettled in Moscow. No-one has approached us from Villa yet but, if they do, our answer will definitely be a no."
