Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is being linked with a return to former club Spartak Moscow.
"Spartak would most certainly welcome Roman back on loan," a source at his former club in Moscow told the Daily Mail.
"He was the best goal scorer for us and we still can't find a replacement for him. The problem is that foreign players of his class who we approached in winter either demanded unrealistic salaries or simply didn't want to go to Russia.
"When Roman left last summer, Spartak was running third in the league. His move to England left the team without a good striker until the end of the season. As a result Spartak finished it outside the qualification places for the European competitions."
