Spartak Moscow boss Michael Laudrup is planning a major raid on former club Getafe in January.

Laudrup has been discussing transfer targets with Spartak football chief Valeri Karpin, who also enjoyed a long playing career in Spain with Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad.

Karpin will be in Spain this weekend for talks with Getafe as he seeks agreements for trio Cata Diaz, the Argentine defender, and Spanish midfielders Javier Casquero and David Souza.
