Spartak Moscow number one Dykan ruled out of Celtic clash

Celtiuc have received a boost ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow with news that their opponent's number one goalkeeper Andriy Dykan has been ruled out.

The Hoops head to Russia for Tuesday's second group stage fixture knowing that they will be up against Spartak's second-choice gloveman Sergei Pesyakov.

Dykan injured his shoulder during the weekend's Russian Premier League win at Amkar Perm and was replaced by Pesyakov who will retain the gloves for Celtic's visit.

"Andriy's got problems with the shoulder from last year. When he fell during the game, he felt pain again and I had to substitute him at the break," said Spartak boss Unai Emery.

"But I'm happy with all our keepers and Sergei did well when he came on. I've no hesitation in playing him against Celtic."

A club statement read: "Dykan had a medical examination which revealed damage to a shoulder joint. He'll be out of action for a month."
