Spartak Moscow are eyeing Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo.
The Brazilian is available after spending last season on-loan at Galatasaray.
Spartak Moscow have made a bid worth 8.5m to buy Melo plus performance-related bonuses.
This is still below the 10m asking price put forward by Juventus, but is an improvement on the 6.5m offered by Galatasaray.
