Everton defender Johnny Heitinga is a target for Spartak Moscow.

The Daily Mail says the Russians failed with a £4.2million offer for the Dutch international in February.

Heitinga, 28, was also wanted by Fenerbahce last month but an offer failed to materialise.

However, the Turks are close to finalising a £2.5m move for Heitinga's team-mate Joseph Yobo which should allow Everton to push through a deal for Tottenham's Steven Pienaar.
