Spartak Moscow are planning a £5 million bid for Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.
The Daily Mail says Spartak's Danish manager Michael Laudrup is desperate to reinforce his attack with his 20-year-old compatriot after losing Roman Pavlyuchenko to Spurs in September.
Bendtner's late winner against Dynamo Kiev will give the striker a much-needed confidence boost, after reportedly feeling unsettled at the Emirates.
According to a Russian newspaper, talks between the two have already begun, with Bendtner agreeing to start negotiations with Spartak.
Spartak sources told the paper: "It's very important to Nicklas that he has an absolute trust in Laudrup.
"Laudrup was an idol to him as a youth and they know each other very well. Nicklas is pals with Laudrup's oldest son Mads. They played together for the Denmark youth team.
"Spartak are prepared to pay £4-5 million for the Dane but it's more likely they'll take him on six months loan and buy out his transfer in the summer."
