Sparta Rotterdam striker Mathias Pogba struck in the draw with AZ Alkmaar on the weekend.

The older brother of Manchester United star Paul Pogba, Mathias revealed the midfielder was on the phone after the game.

"He congratulated me right after the contest via WhatsApp," he smiled.

"We have always remained convinced that my first goal would come naturally, but it is still great when it eventually falls."

Mathias added: "It would be nice if Paul can come see me once in real life, but that is difficult to plan.

"He is simply every day at work with Manchester United. And it's hard for Paul to persuade Jose Mourinho to give him a day off to come to Rotterdam."
