Spanish goalkeeper Dani Mallo has been invited for a trial at Falkirk. The 29-year-old is keen to leave Sporting Braga and fellow Spaniard Arnau Riera recommended Falkirk to him.
"I have been free to leave Braga since the summer but my contract runs to 2009," Mallo told the Sunday Mail.
"I'm unhappy in Portugal and the chance to play in The SPL would be sensational.
"Being at Braga was possibly the worst experience of my career but I'm excited about going to Falkirk.
"Scotland is a country that lives for football and has so much passion.
"I have spoken with Riera and he has given the club an excellent reference.
"The challenge is to get back playing and maybe in a few years return to Spain."
