The Blaugrana have come up short in the middle east, and have had to postpone the friendly match in order to recover some of their injured squad.

The friendly held a great deal of significance to local fans and, as such, instead of cancelling, Barcelona have rescheduled, though a date has not yet been announced.

The clubs have agreed that the re-arranged match will be Barcelona's first overseas friendly of the new season, starting in September, when they will be led by new coach Josep Guardiola.
