President of the Spanish Professional Football League Javier Tebas insists Barcelona are clear to register and play summer signing Arda Turan.
Turan was signed from Atletico Madrid last summer, but could not be registered due to their FIFA transfer ban.
Tebas declared today that Barcelona are “within their rights" to register Turan with the league, to compensate for the loss of Rafinha Alcántara, who is recovering from a long-term injury.
"In Spain, clubs are permitted to incorporate a player when another is out injury for a period of five months or longer. I think Barça are within their right to do so. I think they should be authorized [by FIFA] to register Turan," Tebas said.
